Jade Yoga began in earnest in 2000 after we learned of the fundamental problem with most yoga mats on the market at that time – that they were slippery. As we were already making natural rubber rug pads, we approached the problem from that angle and developed Harmony, the first natural rubber yoga mat. As time passed, we developed several new lines of yoga mats including the “Level One” mats and the “Voyager” mat – each with their own special properties to help you excel in your practice.

Jade Yoga mats provide a superior level of traction. We use a natural rubber sourced from trees, which provides better grip and more cushion than any of the synthetic rubbers on the market (PVC, PER, TPE, EVA). It is also better for the Earth, as it is made sustainably. Our mats are simply created to provide a great grip to help you hold your pose. Your practice will thank you!

Making environmentally sustainable yoga products is our highest priority. Lucky for us, natural rubber is both the most sustainable and best-performing product to use when creating yoga mats. We are committed to giving back to the Earth with every product sold. We want to leave the planet a better place than when we found it. As Jade Yoga mats come from trees, we decided to give back by planting a tree for every mat sold. With Trees for the Future, we have planted over 1 million trees since 2006.

In addition, all of our mats are made right here in the United States. “American-made” still means a lot to us, and we take pride in being a US-based company. “American-made” also means quality and assurance, giving us much more control over the materials used in our products and the production process from start to finish.
